Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, place, or other query entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Cassia County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's policy controls its handling of a submitted query.

Messages

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share a message beyond the organization unless the law requires disclosure.

Automatic Technical Data

Standard server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • The referring page, when available
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies

Cookies and similar files help measure use and remember basic preferences. Browser controls can block or delete them, although some functions may then behave differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information supports ordinary operation rather than the creation of jail or release records. It may be used to:

  • Keep pages available and responsive
  • Send a search request to the selected partner
  • Understand which Cassia County resources visitors use
  • Detect errors, misuse, or security problems
  • Display advertising that may reflect interests

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links may lead to Cassia County, IDOC, courts, VINE, federal custody locators, or outside search services. Once you leave, that operator's privacy policy applies. We do not control an outside site's collection or retention practices.

Advertising partners may use their own cookies or identifiers to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs in the partner's systems, not in Cassia County government records or this site's content files.

Who May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:

  • Search partners that process a submitted query
  • Analytics providers that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
  • Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order

Security Practices

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. No internet-connected service is immune from misuse, interception, or failure. We therefore cannot promise that storage or transmission will always be breach-proof.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and a verifiable request, you may ask for a copy of personal data held by this site, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. These choices do not alter public records held by Cassia County, Idaho courts, IDOC, or another government custodian. Requests about those records must go to the agency.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised as site practices, providers, or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with an updated effective date.
