Cassia County Booking Photo Records
A booking photograph is created as part of an arrest and admission record. Release from Mini-Cassia Criminal Justice Center does not erase the underlying government record. Yet public display and agency retention are different issues. Cassia’s current roster and Recent Bookings interface display a photo column and provide a machine photo URL. The county does not publish a promised released-photo archive or a retention period for those displayed images.
Idaho’s Public Records Act begins with a presumption that government records are open unless another law provides otherwise. A booking photo is therefore a request candidate. Disclosure can still be affected by law-enforcement, privacy, security, juvenile, or other exemptions. The records custodian decides what can be released and what must be redacted.
The image should always remain tied to the booking ID, name, date, and case. A booking photo reflects intake. It does not establish conviction, sentence, present location, or community release. If the photo remains on Recent Bookings after the person leaves the current roster, that continued image display is not proof of ongoing custody.
Cassia County Mugshot Channels
No single channel covers every Cassia County booking. Start with the agency that created the photograph. Use other sources only with a stable identifier and enough event detail to prevent a mistaken match.
| Channel | Photo available? | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Cassia current roster | Yes, while displayed | Capture the official booking ID, photo, agency, and case context. |
| Cassia Recent Bookings | Yes | Find a recent admission photo, not a release event. |
| Idaho Sheriff Connect | Not verified for released Cassia photos | Supplemental jail-information access only. |
| Sheriff records request | Possible after review | Ask for one identified booking photograph and release sheet. |
| IDOC Resident/Client Search | Not shown in inspected ordinary details | Verify state status and sentence fields, not a promised portrait. |
| Official registry | Only qualifying registrants | Use for the registry’s statutory purpose and identity rules. |
| BOP, USMS, or ICE locator | No general public mugshot field | Use for custodian-specific status, not photo discovery. |
| News or third party | Sometimes | Corroboration only; compare publisher, date, and booking data. |
The county source is strongest for the intake event. A precise records request is the clearest fallback after the public image changes. Commercial copies may be stale, mislabeled, or detached from the final court result.
Cassia Roster Photos After Release
The Cassia County jail roster is a current-custody display. Its fields include photograph, name, booking identifiers, demographics, booked date and time, days in jail, inmate type, agency and case information, charges, and bond data. The separate Recent Bookings page is admission-oriented. Neither dataset contains release date, release time, release reason, or destination.
The official Recent Bookings screen shows the photo, date, and charge layout that can remain useful after the current roster changes.

The screen’s heading matters. It says Recent Bookings, not recent releases. Preserve the booking ID and case number while available, then ask the jail whether that booking ended and how.
Cassia warns that online status can lag and directs users to phone or in-person confirmation. Call Mini-Cassia at (208) 878-1000 for present status. A photo on either page confirms only that the county published an intake image associated with that booking.
Cassia Sheriff App Photo Limits
Cassia joined Idaho Sheriff Connect in 2025. Store descriptions refer to jail information, creating a mobile channel beyond the county website. The official research did not verify a Cassia released-person list, released-mugshot module, or photo archive inside the app.
That boundary should remain clear. The app can be checked as supplemental access when the county website is hard to use on a phone. It cannot be represented as the missing 24-hour or 72-hour release feed. Nor can an unverified app feature replace a booking-photo request.
The web interface definitely supplies photo URLs on current roster and booking records. If an app result and web record differ, compare the booking identifier and call the jail. Interface availability can change more quickly than the underlying government record.
Request Cassia County Booking Photos
Ask the Cassia Sheriff records custodian for one event, not an entire investigative file. The most useful wording is “the booking photograph associated with booking ID ___ on ___,” together with the booking and release sheet. This avoids confusion with evidence photographs and helps the custodian locate a segregable record.
- Record the exact name, booking ID, booking date, case number, and holding agency.
- Open the Cassia County forms page and select the public-record request form.
- Describe the booking photograph and release-event fields precisely.
- Choose delivery and provide the contact details the form requires.
- Ask for a written estimate before chargeable work begins.
- Keep the response, any denial, and the cited exemption with the request.
The Sheriff’s Records line is (208) 878-1107. The records address is 129 East 14th Street, Burley, ID 83318, and the form lists fax (208) 878-4475 for the law-enforcement and jail-record custodian. No fixed booking-photo fee was published.
Under Idaho’s current framework, a resident ordinarily receives a grant or denial within three working days. Written notice can allow completion within ten working days when more retrieval time is needed. Nonresident periods are longer. Idaho residents generally receive the first two processing hours and first 100 pages without labor or copy charges, with allowable charges afterward. The agency’s estimate controls.
Other Cassia Mugshot Sources
Ordinary IDOC Resident/Client Search detail records inspected for Cassia research did not show portraits. IDOC Most Wanted includes images for selected fugitives, but that is a warrant publication with a different purpose. Absence there does not clear a warrant and says nothing about whether a county booking photo exists.
The Idaho sex-offender registry can display an image for a person who has a registration duty. It is not a general released-inmate photo archive. Follow its identity warnings and statutory restrictions. A missing registry result means only that no matching public registry entry was found.
The Bureau of Prisons locator does not provide a public mugshot field in its result inventory. The U.S. Marshals Service generally does not release mugshots because of privacy concerns. ICE’s Online Detainee Locator is a custody tool, not an image archive. Agency-specific FOIA rules and exemptions apply when federal records are sought.
Local news and search engines may preserve a photograph after an official page changes. Compare the name, booking ID, date, publisher, and case before relying on it. Do not treat a third-party image as release confirmation. No commercial source was reliable enough in the Cassia research to recommend as an official archive.
Cassia Mugshots and Clean Slate
Idaho Clean Slate shielding and arrest-history expungement are separate remedies. Under the Idaho Clean Slate Act, shielding generally begins only after at least five years from completion of the whole sentence, including probation, parole, fines, and restitution. It limits public court access. It does not destroy every source record or guarantee that copied images vanish from the internet.
Idaho State Police also describes a narrower arrest-history expungement route. That process is not the same as Clean Slate and does not erase federal or other-state data. The order or agency decision must be read to learn which record and custodian it affects.
A person seeking correction or removal should contact the publisher or originating custodian and cite the exact booking, disposition, and applicable order. The researched Idaho statutes and official manual did not reveal a state law specifically banning commercial mugshot removal fees as of July 16, 2026. That is a dated research finding, not a permanent nationwide conclusion.
Verify Cassia County Mugshot Identity
Compare stable event details before associating a photo with anyone. Names alone are not enough. Use the booking number, birth details where lawfully displayed, booking date, agency, case number, and charge event. Then check the court disposition and the jail’s actual release or transfer event.
Mini-Cassia holds people connected to Cassia, Minidoka, state, federal, and immigration authorities. A photograph created in Burley does not prove the case belongs to Cassia County court. Follow the agency and case prefix to the owning system. Juveniles are excluded from the adult roster and their records have separate confidentiality rules.
- Booking photo
- An intake image tied to an arrest and booking event.
- Release record
- The custodian’s event showing how and when a booking ended.
- Disposition
- The court’s recorded outcome or current procedural result.
- Expungement
- A legal process whose effect depends on the specific statute and record.
The best evidence chain is official photo, booking identifier, release event, and court disposition. That chain keeps a Cassia County booking image in its proper context and avoids turning an old intake photograph into a claim about current status.
